I got to hang out with these two crazy kiddos the past few days. They started off pretty ticked at me on Thursday, because I wasn't a whole lot of fun. They wanted to go swimming, but Aunt Carol's pool isn't ready yet, and I wasn't going to pay to go humilate myself in a bathing suit in public. I talked Megan into going to the library, and that made her happy for a bit. We also hit Sonic for 99-cent shakes! They helped me make some yummy nachos for dinner, then we hung out for the evening with Daddy.
Barry was off on Friday (YEA!!), so we piled up the kids and headed to the movies. We went to see Kung Fu Panda, which was really good. We hung out for a while in town, then came home and grabbed some dinner. Megan and I met up with the girls and helped make wedding announcements for Dave and Jess. Kyle talked his Daddy into a "Wii Party" between just the two of them, and then proceeded to kick his bum! Barry got several calls from work, and they were having some problems, so he had to run into work and took Kyle with him. They brought ice cream home with them, and it was yummy!!
Today we headed into town, trying to figure out something fun to do, when Kayti called to tell me the were on their way. They had to cut the day short today, due to circumstances beyond their control, so we came on home. Kyle had been asking for Taco Bell for several days, so we indulged him on the way home and grabbed some lunch.
I hope they enjoyed their time hanging with us as much as I enjoyed being with them. I think we had a lot of fun, even though it wasn't as much running as they would have liked. We are planning on heading up to Fayetteville next week, and the pool is supposed to be ready, so we will all be looking like a bunch of lobsters soon! That should make them very happy!
