We celebrated simply - the kids kicked us out of the house on Monday night, so Barry and I went out to dinner. While we were gone, the kids put together a sweet movie filled with birthday wishes for me. Wednesday night the girls had New Beginnings at church, so that is how I spent my b-day night.
The best surprise of the day, though, came from my wonderful hubby - he sent me flowers at work! To understand what a HUGE deal that was to me, you have to understand that my hubby doesn't do flowers. He thinks they are a waste of money, and would rather spend his hard-earned dollar on something that is going to last longer than a day or two. He actually got me flowers a couple of times over the years, but never had any delivered to me. So, imagine my surprise when the delivery man actually said that the flowers in his hands were for me! The flowers are beautiful and smell heavenly! They have been on my desk all week, and looking at them has brought a smile to my face.
Ahhh... I love my hubby!

Yay, Barry! Jared is the same way, but women like flowers, and we're worth it, right?? Jared actually did get me some for Valentine's Day, so I was very happy!
