Life...

Life is just moving right along lately. We are busy, busy, busy with work, school and soccer.

Kayti
Is off taking her ACT for the second time this morning. She made a great score the first time around, but she wanted to take it again to see if she could improve it any. Her math score wasn't very good last time, so she has been studying up on that.
She is loving being a senior, and she is really enjoying all her classes. She is really looking forward to her Creative Writing 2 class next semester. She was a bit apprehensive about her Seminary teacher this year, because several of the kids who had her last year had a few harsh things to say, but she is really enjoying her class.

Josh
Is getting the hang of being at "The Bob" and enjoying it for the most part. He is making new friends, and is loving his Drama class.
His soccer team is undefeated right now, and he is enjoying his coach.
He was recently called to be the Teachers Quorum President. He has served in a presidency before, but this has been a new experience for him. I'm proud of the way he has served so far. It's been great to see him taking on new responsibilities, and handling himself so well.

Kyle
Is growing like a weed! He is now officially taller than me (he really has been taller for a while, but I haven't wanted to acknowledge it... there is NO denying it now!), a fact that he really likes to throw in my face as much as he can.
He is enjoying being an 8th grader, and loves his science teacher. His grades have been pretty good so far. His SAT scores qualified him to take Algebra 1 this year instead of Pre-Algebra, and I decided to go ahead and move him up to the class. I've worried that he might struggle some since he skipped Pre-Algebra, but so far he is holding his own.

Megan
Has finally gotten the routine of middle school down, and loves being there. She loves all of her teachers, and is doing very well in class. We found out yesterday that her Language Arts teacher has requested that she be moved into an advanced class, which she will start on Monday. She is really excited by that.
She is really turning into a social butterfly as well, and has enjoyed going to all the football games so far this season. This past week has been spirit week at school, and she had a ball dressing up every day for that.

Barry and I are both busy with work, and then running kids around after that. We have soccer practices every night of the week, except Wednesday, which is filled with youth activities at church. Saturdays are busy with games and trying to catch up on housework.
We have both been trying to be healthier, as well. Barry and the boys have been doing P90X in the afternoons. I'm proud of them and the way they are sticking to it. I have been getting up pretty early and working out before getting kids and myself ready for school. I found out last week that my thyroid is acting up again, and getting the meds adjusted for it have really wiped me out this week. I'm really tired of being tired! I had to bring Kyle home from school early one day this week because he wasn't feeling well, and when we got home, I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up about 2 hours later, ran a couple of errands, then came home and crashed again. Thankfully, Barry was home that night in time to run kids around, and I crawled in bed. I couldn't believe that I could sleep that much and still feel so exhausted the next day. I'm hopeful that soon it will be all straightened out, and I will feel like myself again.

Well... laundry is calling me, so I guess that I had better get off of here!
