Megan update...

Megan is feeling great, and her arm is healing. She loves a good bubble bath, and now has even more of an excuse to take them as she can't get in the shower! Her stitches look like they are healing nicely. We keep them "gooped up" (a medical termed used by the doctor!) with antibiotic ointment and covered with bandages!
She is in really good spirits, and appreciates all the calls of concern on her behalf!

Gotta love her. So glad she is doing so well. Now she can join the ranks of the stitched up people of the family.

Where on her arm was she cut? Will it leave a bad scar?

Her cut is on her left forearm. The doctor told us that keeping it moist, especially around the edges, would help with the scarring. Hopefully it won't be too bad, but she will have a nice conversation piece, I'm sure!

There is so much to be thankful for. At her age, she will heal quickly and the scar will be minor compared to us older types. When Misty was burned,I just kept telling myself, it wasn't worse than it was, and wasn't her face. I am a firm believer in vitamin E. both internally and put directly on the scar while healing. We used it on Misty's burns and most people don't even notice them now. they also have a cream out that helps with scaring. I haven't used it but I have the vitamin E.

So glad to here. I am sure she'll love having this story to tell. I am sure you'll never forget this New Years. Wow.
