Have you ever been so happy and so sad all at the same time? That is how I am feeling tonight. At 4:45 PM tonight, my oldest went out on her very first date!!! I am so happy for her, because her first date is with exactly who she wanted it to be with; but so sad because she is growing up way too fast! How can she be old enough for this already? NO!!!! I want time to rewind, and her to be that little girl again who wouldn't let go of my hand when we walked out of the house. She has grown into such a beautiful, smart, funny, and dependable young woman. I can't stand the thoughts of her leaving home in another 2 years. That is just not enough time to spend with her!!!
Ok... so even though she is going to be mad at me, I have to post this picture. What kind of mom would I be if I didn't document this occassion with a picture (and a blog post!)?
They went to see High School Musical 3 tonight, so they both had to wear red! :)

I think I am in almost as much shock as you are. I so remember rocking her to sleep as a baby. How is this possible?!
She really has turned into such a pretty young woman! And what a great guy for her to go on her first date with! The Anderson's are so nice! How exciting! : )
