Discovering a new love

Josh has always loved sports, and I figured that sports would always be his only real interest. This year, though, he had to take a Drama class at school, and he now has a new love... acting! He had one of the main parts in his class play, "Who Killed Kevin". He was in almost every scene of the play, and had the most lines to learn. He worked really hard, and it was unusual to see him without his script in his hand over the past month. His class performed the play this week, and Josh did such a great job! He played an old man in a retirement home named George, and he had a great "old man voice" and walk. Here are a few pics of him:

Isn't it great how kiddos 'evolve'!! Christian doesn't want to play baseball after this season, wants to learn more about fishing and water rafting. He is quite the tackle something then MOVE ON kinda guy. He should get to experience a lot that way. Yeah for Josh! Drama would have KILLED me at his age, dreadfully shy, so great to see that he loves it.

Way to go Josh. You seem to have gotten some of the old Mayfield hamminess genes. We are so proud of you. Not for the genes, for trying something new and doing so well.

I really don't like this comment place, it wouldn't let me make a comment 3 times in a row and erased my reply. Is there a trick or something?

Just when you think you know your kids they pull a fast one of you! Forrest too took a drama class this past semester. Little did they know, he didn't need a script- he constantly has drama! lol It was fun to see that side of him.
