Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my 38th birthday. I've had a great time milking my birthday this weekend! Barry was supposed to take me out on Friday night, but he had more problems at work, and didn't get home until after 11:00. I had Stake Leadership on Saturday morning. I left a guilt-filled letter for the kids, basically telling them that if they didn't have the house clean the way that I like it, they would ruin my whole birthday! Thankfully the house looked great when I got home. Barry and I went out for a movie (Fools Gold), and then we went to Oh! Bryan's for dinner. I got a yummy steak, and enjoyed every bite of it! Barry had warned the kids to be on their best behavior, and told them that if there were any problems to call his cell, not mine. He talked to them several times throughout the day for various reasons, and I have to say that it was nice not to have to worry about anything. While we were gone, Kayti made me a cake. One of the phone calls to dad was for help with the cake. She was having problems removing it from the pan, and he was trying to help her with that. She was able to "fix" it, and it tasted yummy.


Barry had to go back in to work this morning to try to resolve some more problems. We were hoping that he would be done in time for church, but that didn't happen. He did make it home for a little while, and fixed dinner for us - pork chops and rice, which were so good! It was great to come home to a hot cooked meal! As soon as we finished eating, I got my present, which Josh wrapped himself! Barry got me the 7th book in the "Women's Murder Club" series. These are the books that the tv show are based on.


Barry had to head back to work after that, so I gave Kyle a hair cut. Josh usually won't let me touch his head, which is fine, because he is very ticklish, and squirms way too much. Well, tonight he wanted me to do it, so I decided to go ahead while he was in a cooperative mood. We decided to make the first pass right down the middle of his head, and once we did I realized that I had forgot to put the guide on!! I started crying, Josh started laughing, and ran to the mirror to look at himself. He loved it, so we finished up. Thankfully he has a pretty nice-looking noggin, and it actually looks nice on him.


Well, I guess that I am going to treat myself to my pj's and a cozy bed!
